Captain's Report - Welwyn Garden City

This was to be our final venue but the weather pushed Harpenden Common into our final day out. Luckily the weather god was good to us on this day and the rain stopped half an hour before our tee off time. It was interesting that the club provided us a game of “miss the digger” on the first hole! Nothing to do with Mr Dollin but some important ground maintenance.

Two competitions were played for. A three ball for the Bill Reid trophy. This was best score on par 5. Best two scores on par 4 and all scores counting on par 3’s. The jubilee jug contest was the ever popular yellow ball competition!
