Some Important Notes On Rules of Play

As you will know the Kimpton Golf Society is all about golf and having fun.

One KGS "local rule" that you will already know is the KGS adopt

"pick and place" on the fairway all year round - and this will continue in to 2023 and beyond.

The committee have been discussing other ways in which we could make our events even more enjoyable for the KGS as a group and have come up with the following "recommended methods of play" that we would like our members to adopt.

Please play "ready golf" at all times - as and when it safe and feasible to do so.

When a ball has been lost, a player should take a 1 shot penalty, and drop a ball within one club length of the location (as agreed by all the other players in the group) in the proximity of the where the original ball was lost.

The exception to this ruling is when a ball has been hit out of bounds.

In this situation the normal rules of golf will still apply.

Please find your own ball first before looking for those of other players.

Please consider your trolley and bag position in readiness for the next hole.

Please leave the green before marking your score cards.

Adopting these methods of playing will hopefully be to the benefit of all members and improve the whole society experience.
